In February last year, the Maidenhead Interfaith Group organised a very successful event including contributions from all the faith communities in the town.
Enhanced by the multi-cultural atmosphere at Ellington Primary School, the event was diverse and creative including Christian and Sikh bands, Buddhist chants, sacred readings, prayers, stories and live musical interludes.
The group was keen to encourage children and youth to get involved - building early awareness and trust across the faith communities. There were also plenty of refreshments afterwards to allow people to get to know each other informally.
